  • youth’s passionate, political idealism

  • a young peace activist volunteering in the Gaza Strip

  • living life to its fullest while rushing toward her inevitable death

The play was developed from Rachel’s own journals. This young peace activist was run over by an Israeli Defense Forces bulldozer while trying to save the family home of a local pharmacist.

Traditional Stories

Theatrical adaptations featuring traditional storytellers

Co-created by Peace Akintade and Louise Seidel

Our first storyteller was at the Saskatoon Fringe.

Nigerian, traditional storyteller Aderonke Oyefuga Soyemi from the Yoryba tribe shared stories of balance, harmony and respect for others and the earth.  Her daughter, Deborah Oyefuga, provided live translation. Her sons danced.  It was an honour to host this talented family!
